Connecting Neurodiverse & Neurotypical Students through Agriculture

We’re changing the way neurodivergent students study abroad.

The Villa Meleto experience functions inside of two academic programs: the Agricultural Studies Program and the Skylark Learning Program. These programs are social innovation projects, grounded in theory, praxis, and interdisciplinary systems thinking.

  • Agricultural Studies Program: we have launched an innovative and prestigious agricultural studies program. We partner with plant science and agronomy programs at American colleges and universities, where students can study the micro-ecosystems that surround the villa. Our goal is to rebirth Cosimo Ridolfi’s avant-garde philosophy by evolving his educational methodology.

  • Skylark Learning Program: we have launched an inclusive study abroad program, consisting of semester abroad and gap year opportunities, for neurodiverse and neurotypical students. Students participate in an immersive academic and cultural experience founded on personalization, structure, and psychological support.

We envision a more empathetic humanity where individuals can be more open to and accepting of all learning styles—and where each individual can embrace their natural capabilities.

Our hope is that, in addition to offering our guests with a deluxe experience at Villa Meleto, visitors can have the opportunity to engage in this impactful project and find meaning beyond luxury.
